This year we are again affected by a national shortage of flu vaccines. The vaccine for patients over 18 and born after 31 March 1955 will be delayed – we have therefore arranged an additional flu clinic dedicated to these patients eligible for a flu vaccine on the Thursday 31 October 2019 at Buckden Surgery. We encourage all patients born on or before 31 March 1955 to book into our main flu clinics on the morning of Saturday 28 September 2019 at either site. Please call our reception team to book your appointment.
Our flu clinics for children born between 2 September 2015 and 1 September 2017 will be arranged for November. Other eligible patients under 18 who cannot have the vaccination at school may also use these clinics. Please call us in October to make an appointment for any eligible patients in your household.
More information on the flu vaccination program including who may be eligible can be found here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/flu-influenza-vaccine/
