YOUnited - Self-referral Posted or Updated on 2 Jul 2025

YOUnited offers support to children and young people aged 5 to 17 with their emotional wellbeing and mental health.  Previously referrals could only be made by a health professional but now parents and young people can submit a Self-referral online.

Once the referral is received by YOUnited a team of professionals will review the information and allocate to the team best suited to the needs of the child/young person. This could be one of the partners of YOUnited (CAMHS, Centre33 or Ormiston Families) or the Mental health Support Team in the child’s school. For parents or carers making a referral for a child over the age of 13, they will need to ensure the child is aware of the referral and willing to engage in mental health support. The self-referral form is for mental health referrals only. More information on neurodevelopmental referrals such as Autism, ADHD and Dyspraxia.
